Esposito cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split and asked for spousal support and payment of her legal fees. A spokesperson for Cooper said, "The divorce was mutual and they've been separated for quite a while." The couple dated for a year.

Actress Jenna Elfman Vouches for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes: "They're Not Headed for Divorce"

Jenna Elfman, scientologist friend of Tom Cruise, has said that the marriage between Cruise and Katie Holmes is definitely not headed for divorce. "Honestly, they're happy," Elfman told People magazine, "They have a great life and they love each other." Elfman spoke out amidst strange tabloid stories that Katie is being held in the marriage against her will and living in a "prison-like" environment.

David Hasselhof's Ex-Wife Pam Bach Alleges Emotional Abuse

Pamela Bach, the ex-wife of actor David Hasselhoff told reporters outside a Los Angeles County courtroom that her ex-husband was emotionally and verbally abusive during the marriage. Bach had attended court for a post-divorce hearing. Bach said, "If I didn't have a restraining order, there would [have been] physical abuse." The couple was married in 1989 and divorced bitterly in 2006. A spokesperson for Hasselhoff said that Bach "continues to use the press and the children as a tool to present herself as a victim. She has had no less than nine sets of attorneys who have all let her go due to the inconsistency of her behavior."

Actress Kim Basinger Denies Leaking Ex-Husband Alec Baldwin's Rambling Rant Tape to Media

Mercury News wire service has reported that actress Kim Basinger, former wife of actor Alec Baldwin, has denied that she leaked to the media a nasty voicemail that Baldwin left to his daughter Ireland, calling her a "little pig" and calling Basinger a "pain in the ass." On the voicemail, Baldwin also indicated that he was unsure how old his daughter was, and ordered her to "be ready" for him to visit her and "straighten" her out about how angry he was that she did not take his phone call. The call resulted in Baldwin temporarily losing visitation rights. A representative for Basinger said, "Kim Basinger did not release the voicemail. Additionally, the voicemail was not sealed under a court order." Baldwin has apologized publicly for the voicemail, claiming he had been "driven to the edge by parental alienation." Baldwin and Basinger divorced very bitterly in 2002 and have been fighting over custody of their daughter ever since.

Heather Mills and Rosie O'Donnell Support Alec Baldwin

Both Heather Mills and Rosie O'Donnell have spoken publicly in support of Alec Baldwin's angry outburst against his daughter Ireland. Mills reportedly told a radio show, "It's wrong to speak to your daughter like that.but his daughter lives with Kim and we have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. People lose it. Forgive him." Rosie O'Donnell, meanwhile, defended Baldwin on the talk show "The View," saying she has cursed at her children at times, after which the audience reportedly laughed and applauded. Baldwin will appear on an upcoming episode of "The View" to discuss the bitter voicemail. O'Donnell was recently fired from the talk show program but will remain as a host until the end of June, when her contract expires.

Liza Minnelli's soon-to-be ex-husband David Gest has been talking up a storm about Liza. Gest reportedly bragged to a British newspaper about new girlfriend Malandra Burrows and said his marriage to Liza left him bitter. Said Gest, "After being married to an alcoholic, you're very skeptical about getting into a relationship, especially when you've been through as much of a rollercoaster as I have, but [new girlfriend Malandra] keeps me in line." Actor Alec Baldwin Apologizes for Crazed Voicemail Message to Daughter After Judge Revokes His Visitation Rights

Alec Baldwin has apologized for a voicemail that was published on TMZ.com in which he calls his daughter Ireland a "thoughtless little pig" for failing to answer the phone for a scheduled phone call. On the voicemail message, Baldwin called his ex-wife and Ireland's mother, Kim Basinger, "a thoughtless pain in the ass" and said to Ireland, "You have insulted me for the last time." A Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner temporarily suspended Baldwin's visitation rights after hearing the tape. Baldwin then publicly apologized, saying he had been "driven to the edge" by "parental alienation" and was sorry that he had lost his temper with his daughter. A hearing is set for May 4 to determine whether Baldwin's visitation rights can be reinstated.

Liza Minelli's Ex David Gest Calls Liza "A Legend"

The bitter divorce battle between Liza Minelli and music producer David Gest, which has lasted longer than the couple's 16-month marriage, is set to be finalized soon. Gest had sued Minelli for $10 million for reportedly beating him and leaving him in need of hospital treatment. Comedian Chris Rock has filed papers in Georgia in response to a lawsuit against him by a woman who claims Rock is the father of her 13-year old son. Though Rock has not taken a DNA test as the woman has claimed to have repeatedly requested, he did file papers saying he would provide child support and request visitation rights if he is found to be the father. The mother, Kali Bowyer, claims that she had a relationship with Rock before he became famous, and had stated recently that she would re-file the lawsuit in New York. It is not known if she still plans to do that. Rock has recently denied rumors that his 10-year marriage to Malaak Compton was in trouble.

Pamela Anderson Denies Romance with Ex-Husband Tommy Lee - Again

Pamela Anderson has denied a second round of rumors that she is reconciling with ex-husband Tommy Lee. Anderson's divorce from musician Kid Rock will be final in May. Anderson denied reports of a reconciliation with Lee in March, after the couple was photographed kissing at a Hollywood restaurant. Now the couple is vacationing in Hawaii with their children. On her website, Anderson wrote, "It's only a family vacation. No new news." Anderson also recently wrote on her website that she is interested in furthering a friendship with Lee and is not interested in other men.

Bahamas Custody Battle Delayed for Dannielynn and Larry Birkhead

Judge Postpones Custody Hearing for Anna Nicole Smith's Daughter
The Associated Press has reported that a judge in the Bahamas has delayed the custody hearing for the late Anna Nicole Smith's infant daughter, Dannielynn. The judge reportedly wanted to give the baby's father, Larry Birkhead, more time to negotiate visitation agreements with Smith's mother, Virgie Arthur, from whom Smith was estranged, and Howard K. Stern, Smith's romantic partner and attorney at the time of her death and the man who was originally named as the father of Dannielynn. Stern is also reportedly the executor of Smith's will. The hearing has been rescheduled for April 20.

A Los Angeles Superior court finalized the divorce of actress Heather Locklear and rock star Richie Sambora. Locklear filed for divorce from Sambora in February of last year, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple was married for 11 years and has one daughter.

Photographer Larry Birkhead, the proven father of the late Anna Nicole Smith's infant daughter, Dannielynn, has said on NBC's "Today" show that he will not share custody of the child with anyone. Birkhead said he hopes he can avoid a custody battle following the paternity battle that proved via DNA tests that he was the father of Dannielynn. Anna Nicole Smith's other romantic interest, Howard K. Stern, was named on the baby's birth certificate as the father and had claimed that he had fathered the child. Several other men also made similar claims. Virgie Arthur, Smith's mother, has filed papers in the Bahamas to become the child's guardian ad litem. Smith and Arthur were estranged when Smith died of an apparent drug overdose just months after Smith's son Daniel also died of an apparent drug overdose.

A Honolulu, HI judge has issued a warrant for the arrest of "The Young and the Restless" soap opera star Brenda Dickson, for Dickson's defiance of a divorce court's order that she vacate her $1 million Los Angeles condominium. Dickson was incarcerated last month for her refusal and was released after promising to leave. Dickson's attorney, Cheryl Brawley, said Dickson had "a change of heart" and hadn't outright lied when she said she would leave. Dickson is divorcing Hawaiian attorney Jan Weinberg. The Hawaiian warrant can not be enforced in California, according to Brawley. Hawaiian Judge Darryl Choy, who issued the arrest warrant, also gave Weinberg power to sell the condominium without Dickson's cooperation.

Carmen Electra Laughs at "Reality Show Divorce Curse"

Model Carmen Electra has denied that her divorce from rock star Dave Navarro was caused by their MTV reality show, "Til Death Us Do Part: Carmen & Dave." When a reporter from FHM magazine suggested that reality show marriages are "cursed," citing the divorce of "Newlyweds" reality show stars Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey and "Meet the Barkers" stars Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler, Electra laughed. David Caruso, star of CSI: Miami, has finalized the divorce from his wife, Margaret. The couple married eight years ago and was separated in June 2004. According to People magazine, Margaret will receive $2.7 million, plus a portion of the actor's CSI residuals.

Sadie Frost and Jude Law Say "Children Come First"

Actor Jude Law and ex-wife Sadie Frost have been publicly speaking of the end of their marriage. Jenna Jameson to Divorce

Adult film actress Jenna Jameson has filed for divorce in from her husband, adult film actor Justin Sterling. Jameson, whose real last name is Massoli, filed legal papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court, against Sterling, whose real name is Jay Grdina, according to TMZ.com. The couple was married for more than three years and reportedly had no prenuptial agreement in place.

Liza Minnelli's Divorce Must Proceed, Appellate Court Rules

Liza Minnelli's attorneys yesterday lost an appeal to freeze Minnelli's divorce proceedings against estranged husband David Gest. Minnelli's lawyers wanted the divorce hearings delayed until after her lawsuit against Gest is decided. Gest had sued Minnelli for $10 million, claiming Minnelli had assaulted him, and the case was dismissed in September, however Minnelli countersued over money she says Gest owes her. The court has ruled that the divorce will proceed despite the countersuit.

Kate Hudson and Rocker Husband Robinson Split

Chris Robinson, singer of the rock band Black Crowes has filed for divorce from actress Kate Hudson, citing irreconcilable differences. They had announced their separation in August. According to a Superior Court filing in Los Angeles, Robinson is seeking shared custody of their son, Ryder Russell Robinson, who will turn 3 in January.

Actor Jude Law Claims Divorce Left Him Broke

Actor Jude Law has confessed to a French magazine that he "lost everything" in his 2003 divorce from actress and designer Sadie Frost. In the divorce settlement, Frost won the couple's £2 million London home plus a reputed £4 million payment and £15,000 a month, according to The Sun newspaper in London. The couple has three children together ranging in age from three to nine.
