Russian Multi-Billionaire Roman Abramovich Leaves Wife for Model

Roman Abramovich, a Russian oil tycoon reportedly worth several billion dollars, has announced that he will be divorcing his wife of 15 years for a 25-year old model, Daria Zhukova. Abramovich released a statement detailing his divorce plans from his wife, Irina, who will get as much as $10 billion out of his estimated $23 billion fortune. The couple has five children together.

Billionaires David and Suzanne Saperstein Reach Hush-Hush Divorce

Billionaire couple David and Suzanne Saperstein have reached a final, confidential divorce agreement signed by judges in Los Angeles and Houston. Records were sealed on February 15. The power couple was known for their lavish lifestyles and high-end charitable donations. Prior to the agreement, the couple had disagreed vehemently about spousal support and had taken proceedings to the Texas Supreme Court. The sealed records reportedly resolved the alimony issue.

Divorce Can Be Ugly, Even After Death
Executors of the estate of Mark Hughes, the late founder of Herbalife International are suing a Hollywood private eye for allegedly wiretapping the executive's home on behalf of his former wife, Suzan Hughes. Suzan and Mark Hughes divorced in 1998, in a reportedly bitter divorce. The lawsuit claims that Anthony Pellicano used wiretaps to help Suzan obtain a "highly advantageous" divorce settlement in 1998 from Mark Hughes. Hughes built the health and nutritional supplement company into a billion-dollar business. He died in 2000 of drug and alcohol overdose. Pellicano is currently in jail, awaiting trial on another case.

Tyco Ex-CEO Dennis Kozlowski Gets Divorce Papers in Jail

The imprisoned former Chief Executive Officer of Tyco International, Dennis Kozlowski, 60, has received divorce papers from his estranged wife, Karen. The papers have asked Kozlowski to disclose his assets and financial condition, which could potentially be of interest to Tyco shareholders, who are suing Kozlowski for a significant drop in share price in 2002. Kozlowski is serving a minimum of eight years in the Mid-State Correctional Facility in Marcy, NY after being convicted of grand larceny and securities fraud for allegedly stealing $137 million from Tyco and selling artificially inflated stock. The divorce papers give Kozlowski 20 days to respond.

Billionaires Plan "Do It Yourself" Divorce

Tim and Edra Blixseth, both California real estate tycoons with an estimated net worth of $2 billion, are divorcing without attorneys or accountants, according to the Wall Street Journal. The couple, who spent 25 years building their fortune, which includes the Yellowstone Club private golf and ski resort, will reportedly share their three jets but divided most of their assets in a single afternoon, over a bottle of wine. Each made a list of what was most important, and they worked from the list to divide the assets. Though not all details have been reached the couple has vowed to divorce 'with dignity.'
